AI Flex Chart — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025-11-24

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Gjorgji Rankovski ("we", "us", or "our"), a sole proprietor based in Oslo, Norway, collects, uses, and shares information when you use AI Flex Chart (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Account Information

When you create or manage an account or subscription, we may collect your name, email address, organisation name, billing information, and related details.

2.2 Service Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, such as configuration settings, timestamps of interactions, feature usage, performance and error logs, and basic device or browser information where applicable.

2.3 Prompts, Metadata, and Column Names

The Service operates primarily on dataset metadata from your Power BI data model, such as column names, table names, measures, data types, and row counts, together with your prompts or natural-language instructions. We use this information to generate and render visualisations (including labels, legends, and tooltips).

Although we refer to this information collectively as "metadata", we recognise that column names, table names, measures, and similar labels may contain or reflect your proprietary or customer-specific information. We treat such information as User Content and protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Service is designed so that raw row-level data values (for example, specific transaction amounts or personally identifiable information stored in your dataset) are not transmitted to our backend in normal operation, unless you deliberately include such values in prompts, column names, or other metadata fields.

2.4 Support and Communications

If you contact us for support or feedback, we may collect your messages, contact details, and any other information you choose to provide.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating visualisations.
  • Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of the Service.
  • Analyse usage patterns to develop new features and improve the user experience.
  • Communicate with you about your account, subscriptions, updates, and technical or security notices.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

4. AI Processing and Visualisations

The Service uses AI models to generate visualisation behaviour from your prompts and metadata. We may log prompts and metadata used for processing to enable debugging, security monitoring, and product improvement. You will only see the resulting visualisations within Power BI; we do not provide the underlying generated code to end users.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:

5.1 Service Providers and Sub-processors

We engage trusted third parties to help us provide and support the Service, including cloud infrastructure and hosting providers, AI model providers, payment processors, and logging, monitoring, and analytics tools. These providers may process prompts, metadata, account information, and usage data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect the information and use it only for specified purposes.

5.2 Legal and Compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.

5.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Prompts, metadata, and usage logs may be retained for a limited period (for example, [X days/months]) for troubleshooting, security, and product improvement, after which we either delete or anonymise them, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised disclosure or access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for securing your own systems and Power BI environment.

8. Your Rights and Local Laws

Depending on where you are located and applicable law (including the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation, the Norwegian Personal Data Act, and other national data protection laws), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to certain processing, and data portability.

Where such laws apply and grant you rights that conflict with or exceed what is described in this Privacy Policy, we will honour those rights to the extent required by law.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at gorgi.rankovski@gmail.com. We may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than Norway or your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect personal information transferred internationally.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

If our web dashboard or website uses cookies or similar technologies, we may use them to remember your settings, authenticate sessions, and analyse usage patterns. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies and will provide options for managing your cookie preferences.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice if required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any updates signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

13. Contact Us
